Terms of Use

The conditions for using the Tella Tarot app and its related services.

Effective date: 2 November 2026

For adults aged 18 and over. Tella provides AI-generated tarot interpretations for entertainment and personal reflection. It does not provide medical, mental-health, legal, financial or other professional advice.

1. Provider and agreement

Tella Tarot is operated by Farnaz Ahmadi, Voßstraße 32, 10117 Berlin, Germany. Contact hello@tellatarot.com or +49 157 30401944. Further provider details are in the legal notice.

These terms govern the Tella service. The Privacy Policy explains how information is handled; agreeing to these terms does not replace any separate permission required for processing your data. For the iOS app, Apple's Standard End User License Agreement governs the app license. These service terms supplement it without overriding mandatory store rules or consumer rights.

2. Age and access

You must be at least 18 to use Tella. Parental permission does not create an exception. Local store content ratings may use a different age scale; they do not change this minimum age.

Tella uses available store age information to determine access. In supported optional cases, it asks you to declare that you are at least 18. If the available information indicates an age below 18, is insufficient, or cannot be checked, access may be blocked. Providing false information or bypassing the check is not permitted.

If you believe a block is mistaken, contact support for review. Support, account-deletion requests and store subscription management remain available outside the app. An access block does not automatically cancel a store subscription or remove your consumer rights.

3. Readings, photos and AI

You can select digital cards, enter physical cards manually or choose a card photo for recognition, add an optional question, receive an AI-generated reading and ask follow-up questions. Review detected cards before continuing.

Interpretations and recognition can be inaccurate, incomplete or unsuitable. Tella does not promise predictions or particular outcomes. Do not rely on it for high-impact decisions. For professional or urgent concerns, use an appropriately qualified professional or local emergency service. You can report problematic AI output using the reporting option in the app.

4. Accounts and your content

Creating an account is optional. Keep your sign-in details secure and contact us if you suspect unauthorized access. You retain your rights in submitted content and permit Tella and its service providers to process it as needed to supply, secure and support the feature you request.

Only submit content you have the right to use. Avoid identifying details and do not submit sensitive personal information about yourself or other people. Photos should show tarot cards only. You must not use Tella unlawfully, harm others, distribute prohibited content, bypass safeguards, disrupt the service or send abusive automated requests. Any restrictions on reverse engineering or similar activity are subject to rights that applicable law preserves.

5. Saved readings

Your saved archive is stored on your device and does not synchronize between devices. It can be lost when you clear app data, uninstall the app, complete account deletion or lose your device. Device backups are controlled by your operating-system settings. Keep your own copy of anything important.

6. Purchases and credits

Optional Premium subscriptions have monthly or annual billing. The store checkout shows the local price, billing period and the benefits offered before you confirm a purchase.

Premium credits are allocated monthly, including on an annual subscription. Unused subscription credits do not roll over. Separately purchased credit packs do not expire with time and are separate from the subscription allowance.

Reading Credits and Photo Credits serve different purposes. A reading or follow-up uses a Reading Credit. A processed photo-recognition request uses a Photo Credit; generating a reading from the recognized cards then uses a Reading Credit. A processed image that contains no recognizable tarot cards can still use a Photo Credit. A request blocked before processing does not use a credit. Contact support if you believe a credit was charged incorrectly.

Credits are for use within Tella, cannot be transferred between users and are not cash. Refunds and statutory rights are unaffected. Account deletion removes the account's credit wallet; contact support before deleting an account if you have an unresolved purchase or credit issue.

7. Renewals, cancellation and refunds

Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled through Apple or Google Play. Cancel before the renewal deadline shown by your store. Cancellation normally stops the next renewal and leaves access until the paid period ends.

Uninstalling Tella, deleting an account or being blocked by an age check does not automatically stop store billing. For refund requests, use Apple refund support or Google Play refund support, or contact us about a problem.

Store purchase terms and applicable consumer law govern checkout and billing. Any statutory withdrawal, cancellation, conformity or refund rights remain available. These terms do not waive them or require you to pursue a store before exercising a valid claim against Tella.

8. Operation, updates and restrictions

The online features need an internet connection and compatible device software. We provide updates required by applicable law. Maintenance or faults may temporarily interrupt service.

We may make proportionate changes for security, legal requirements, compatibility or service improvements, without additional cost for an existing paid commitment. We will explain relevant changes. If a change materially reduces access to a paid service, we will give advance notice in a form you can keep, such as email, and explain any applicable termination or refund rights. We do not reserve an unrestricted right to remove paid benefits.

We may restrict use for a legal requirement, security risk or serious misuse. Where practicable, we will explain the reason and provide a way to contact support. You may request account deletion using the account-deletion page. Statutory rights concerning paid services survive a restriction or deletion.

9. Ownership and responsibility

Tella's software, branding and original assets are owned by or licensed to the provider. Using the app does not transfer ownership of them. Your lawful use remains subject to the applicable app license and these terms.

Our liability is determined by applicable law. Nothing in these terms excludes mandatory warranties, consumer remedies or liability that cannot lawfully be limited. The explanation of AI's limitations does not remove those rights.

10. Applicable law and changes to these terms

German law applies without depriving consumers of mandatory protections in their country of residence. Jurisdiction is determined by applicable law.

We will publish revised terms with their effective date and notify affected users of material changes. Where consent or advance notice is legally required, we will obtain it or provide it before the change takes effect. Posting a new version alone does not retroactively change a completed purchase.
